A project with Agência Pública, researching the slave-owning past of Brazilian presidents, governors, and senators.

I built a reusable people-browser, which for this project was used to display the ancestral link between modern Brazilian politicians and their slave-owning ancestors.

The investigation won the Data Journalism and Infographics Award from SIP, the Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa, the Interamerican Press Association.
