A website that’s a collaboration between Agência Pública and Repórter Brasil. The title translates to something like “Behind the food” and the articles on the site focus on how environmentally unsound the production of food in Brazil is.
Brazilians consume the most pesticides in the world, primarily because environmental and food production laws are less strict than in many other places. And, public awareness of the food production process in Brazil is low.
For a period of two years, Agência Pública and Repórter Brazil will publish reports, investigations and more on the food production in Brazil.
In May 2019, I added a Twitterbot, Robotox, which tweets when new pesticides have been authorised for agricultural use by the Brazilian state.
