For Inis, I’ve been working on the website for the (breathe in) UNAIDS PCB NGO Delegation.
Here’s a list of definitions:
UNAIDS: Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS.
PCB: Program Coordinating Board.
NGO: Non Governmental Organization.
The NGO Delegation to the PCB of UNAIDS aims at advising the organization on how to deal with HIV/AIDS issues and how to roll out programs ‘on the ground’. The members of the delegation are expected to know what’s going on in the field, and to help these individuals in having access to relevant information, they need to have a platform to talk to their constituents and have their constituents talk to them.
NGOspace.net is primarily a mashup of a range of services from where information and individuals are supposed to be drawn, keeping the above objective in mind.
